Solving the OT Cyber Security Puzzle
The Cybersecurity threats to Industrial Control Systems (ICS) have grown exponentially in the past few years. The inherent security vulnerabilities in the ICS equipment and environment combined with the lack of secure implementation of the ICS exposes critical infrastructure to significant operational and safety risks from cyber threats. How do we minimize the cyber security risk to the ICS environment without negatively impacting the operation of critical assets?
The answer is not simple. In this session, we will present our approach to solving this OT Cyber Security puzzle.
Mubarik is having over 25 years of experience in Project Management, Control Systems Engineering, Process Automation, and ICS Cyber-Security. Mubarik holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas, US. He holds multiple professional certifications including GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Fundamentals Specialist, ISA Certified Automation Professional (CAP), and PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He is actively involved in ISA Global Cybersecurity Alliance (ISA-GCA) in promoting the adoption of ISA/IEC 62443 standards.
